We offer a wide range of first opinion services from pre-purchase evaluations to routine healthcare check-ups. For complex cases, our veterinarians can refer a patient to our equine hospital for quick access to more advanced specialised care and high-quality equipment in our purpose-built facilities. We always strive to provide the highest quality primary care to maintain your horse’s health and comfort while managing performance expectations.

Ambulatory / Road Work

Our equine road veterinarians cover a 100km area around our Paarl-based hospital, offering comprehensive care including vaccinations, health exams, de-worming, and dentistry. We handle emergencies and can take radiographs in the field. If you can't bring your horse to the hospital, our ambulatory service provides extensive on-site support.

Lameness Evaluations

A lameness evaluation includes a consultation with one of our veterinarians and a full gait analysis. If necessary, our team may make use of our lameness locator device, medical imaging and nerve blocks for more accurate detection of the source of your horse’s lameness. We collaborate with farriers for hoof trimming and corrective shoeing when treating conditions like navicular disease, laminitis and whiteline disease.
