060 469 7378We look forward to welcoming you and your horse to our hospital. To ensure a smooth visit, here are a few important details regarding forms and what to expect.
To our new clients, once your appointment has been secured, you will receive a new client form to complete and return before your horse’s appointment. This ensures that we have accurate records for both you and your horse on our system. For existing clients, simply book your appointment and there is no need to fill in a new client form. All horses should arrive with their updated passports, upon arrival please report to reception and our friendly team will assist with the admission process. As a referral hospital, we understand emergencies can happen, to which horses need to be brought in without an appointment. In such cases, please ensure that you call the emergency number to let us know that you are on the way, and our team will be waiting to assist you.
We know that horses’ hospital stays can become quite costly. Our team is available to provide you with consistent billing updates, if needed and to address any queries you may have.
Insuring your horse is an important responsibility as an owner. Horses can be expensive to care for, even when they are healthy, so ensuring that their hospital bills are covered is essential. Different insurance companies offer various packages, but we highly recommend that all horses be insured for critical care. This ensures our veterinarians can provide the necessary treatment in the event of a life threatening emergency.
Our dedicated team will be able to assist you with bookings, emergency call outs and telephonic consultations.
Upon examination, our veterinarians will complete comprehensive breeding evaluation forms for both mares and stallions. Additionally, we offer a range of specialised breeding packages tailored for stud farms managing larger numbers of broodmares requiring ongoing reproductive care throughout the breeding season. These packages include regular fertility assessments, ultrasound monitoring and other essential reproductive services to optimise breeding success.
When moving a horse between different African Horse Sickness zones, the state vet needs to be notified. Depending on where your horse is coming from and moving to, either a movement prenote or a movement permit will need to be applied for.
Vetscape Animal Hospital was established in 2019 and we have meticulously grown our facilities and specialist teams to today’s mixed practice serving both equines and small animals. Developed with a commitment to medical excellence, our state-of-the-art facility offers specialised services and cutting-edge treatments to meet the diverse needs of our animal patients.
